Personal branding is one of the most powerful assets in 2019 if you ask me. If you chose to leverage and scale your personal brand, you can not only make a solid income from it but beyond that, you have a solid marketing strategy for any other business in that niche. No matter how you wanna put it, it’s a wasted opportunity not to grow your personal brand because everyone has one. But anyway, let’s face the income side of things for those that actually want to make some solid cash from their brand.
I do always talk about my 3-step-formula. Even tho there are definitely A LOT more ways on how to monetize your brand, I found that the following three are the most powerful, especially in that order. So how does that formula look like:
- Digital Product / Course
Let’s break it down a little more. When you first get started growing your personal brand, it will definitely take some time to get the ball rolling. And during that time you won’t really make money from your brand as you don’t have a large enough audience and those that are your audience still won’t trust you
In the next phase, which comes as soon as you’re a little more advanced and have a pool of clients, you can offer to work as a consultant. Now that means better income for less work while still being an active business. You are the consultant and you trade your 24 hours for a specific amount of money to help other people and businesses with your skill.
Now the last step in the strategy should always be to sell your skill as a digital product. That product can be an e-book, a course or anything like that. Doing so will detach your time from your income as your digital product is replicable by copy & paste, it does not require any logistics and last but not least, it can sell automatically, 24/7 to your now rapidly grown audience. Your personal brand is at the point where you have a large audience that is interested in your skill because that’s the topic of your content.
As you can see, the strategy is very easy to understand and replicate while at the same time super powerful. The most important things are your value or your skill and the actual growth of your audience. If both things are given, you can make a solid income from your personal brand.
