There is so much content out there about how to grow your Instagram and how to gain Instagram followers but let’s be honest, how many of those tips have actually brought you
Forget everything you learned
Let’s reset for a second and start over right here because you actually don’t need any of those fancy hacks & tricks to grow your Instagram account. What you do need are three things:
- Daily Consistency
That’s all it takes, as simple as it may sound. But let’s get into the details of where the actual magic happens within those three things.
Having a niche and fitting content is a no-brainer. If you’re reading this because you’re trying to grow thousands of followers without any work or just a few uploaded selfies than better go back to consuming other content that tells you how to NOT do it.
But for those of you who are actual content creators and want to build a brand, whether for a
That’s it? Where’s the magic that I was talking about? How is that going to change anything and gain me more Instagram followers?
Before you skip the rest of this article, let me explain why all the magic comes from daily consistency.
Let’s assume you want to lose some weight. What do you do in order to achieve that? You eat less and workout more, right? But what would your schedule look like if you were serious about it? You would be tracking what you eat on a daily basis and hit the gym once a day because everything else from that would not bring you the results.
The same applies to social media.
Nobody, yes, NOBODY knows you. So what incentive would other people have to follow you on Instagram or any other platform? Because you’re so pretty? Well, that might actually happen but the truth is that it’s not going to happen only from creating your Instagram account.
But instead, you have to actively create content every single day and show up on your platform every single day to give people value and therefore an incentive to follow you.
You only have to reverse-engineer the whole thing. Give people what they want and you’ll win them as a follower. And now the more content you put out in your niche, the more people will consume it and the more people will end up following you.
Let’s do the math
If you post once a month, that’s 12 postings a year. Let’s say with every post you reach an average of 100 people.
12 * 100 = 1,200 people reached in one year. Now if only one percent decides to follow you, that’s a total of 12 followers gained in one year or 1 from each posting.
If you post once a week, that’s 52 postings a year. You reach the same average of 100 people of which one percent ends up following you. That’s a total of 52 followers.
Now, if you decide to upload daily content, that’s 365 postings a year. With the same calculation, you end up with 365 new followers. Not only is that a lot more than with both of the other calculations but the percentage of people ending up following you will increase exponentially. And we’re not stopping there, as with that much content, the algorithm will definitely push you further and other people and accounts will tag you in their postings which will bring new followers as well.
Nothing like that is going to happen if you only upload once a month. A little bit of it is going to happen if you upload once a week but only if your content is really of some phenomenal quality or creativity.
But exponential growth and with that, daily new followers, won’t pour in until you put in the time and start uploading daily.
Only viewing things from a marketing perspective won’t always help. Sometimes, it’s better to write down some numbers and start doing the math.
